Fallout 4: Excited for the Apocalypse

The next BIG Bethesda RPG is imminent!

I have to say it right out- never really been a Fallout fan. I like the idea of Post-Apocalyptic Future Sci-fi, but it’s always been eclipsed by Swords and Sorcery fantasy. Still, while I’ve never actually played the Fallout games to a significant degree (I got to play through the Vault of Fallout 3, but stopped playing soon after reaching Megaton), I’ve always kept tabs on this series, even watching many episodes of Fallout New Vegas LPs on Youtube.

So, here’s Fallout 4. It’s my chance, I guess, to finally get onto this Irradiated Future World that many others have already lost themselves in. As Bethesda’s latest big game, it’s what we’ll all be getting into before… well, before the next ELDER SCROLLS. Now, that said, I am really liking the aspects of crafting and customization. That you can build your own settlements is something I am looking forward to, and all the massive detail of the world and objects tickle me to no end. The combat looks very accessible (apparently you can play it as a straight shooter) and the inclusion of vehicles is tantalizing. It’s just a few days away- I’m still neck deep into other games but somehow I think I will be making a space for F4 on my schedule in the next few months/years… heheh…
